Perfection! Shadows! And… The Lord’s Prayer?
Or, how to get your finances back to their natural, perfect state from moment to moment
“You are already perfect.” – Dr Ihaleakala Hew Len
Aloha!
Perfect, eh?
It doesn’t always feel like that, does it?
But it really is the truth of you – and me for that matter! We’re all already enough, perfect. What else would Divinity have created us to be?
And if we’re perfect, our financial lives should also be perfect by association.
But are they?
I get it. It’s tough sometimes. It’s so easy to get distracted by the problems of life and the world.
So, let’s take a look at some of the issues and shadow aspects that might be affecting your top Sacred Money Archetype and concealing your money perfection from you:
[If you don’t know your Sacred Money Archetype, just click here to access the assessment 🥰]
Ruler
Issue: Maybe you have a dream you’ve kept a secret in case people think you’re arrogant in wanting to attain it… or maybe you think you won’t be able to attain it?
In shadow, you may overly identify with power, seeing yourself as someone who must always be in control. There can be a fear of appearing weak, causing you to overcompensate through dominance or arrogance, especially around money and achievements.
But, if you’re perfect, what does it matter what other people think? If you’re perfect you can’t fail! You can never appear weak if perfection – Divinity itself! – is the truth of who you are.
Accumulator
Issue: What is frugality keeping you from being or doing?
In shadow, your ego may become overly attached to being seen as “together” and self-reliant, to the point where asking for help feels like failure. This can harden into emotional rigidity or a need to prove your value by accumulating proof – whether through achievements, money, or status.
You may resist change or spontaneity if it threatens the structure you’ve built around your identity. In shadow, your sense of self becomes tied not to who you are but to what you can control.
If you’re already perfect, why do you need to hoard resources? Divinity has given you the freedom of the cosmos! Would you rather attempt to control everything – impossible! – or allow yourself to be guided by inspiration?
Connector
Issue: What beliefs would you have to acknowledge and transform in order to empower yourself to become independent financially?
In shadow, you may develop an ego that depends too heavily on being liked, needed, or included, often blurring your own identity with others. Your personality may skew toward people-pleasing or performance, showing others what they think is expected rather than what’s real.
This can manifest in financial decisions driven by the desire to impress or maintain social standing, rather than integrity or sustainability. Your sense of self-worth can falter if you’re not constantly engaging or receiving validation from others. At worst, your natural charm becomes a mask used to hide insecurity or avoid true self-reflection, relying on others to make financial decisions for you and take care of you.
As a perfect being, you already have the skills to take care of business! Divinity is your supply. Learn to lean on Divinity, not people, places or things.
Alchemist
Issue: What negative belief about money are you willing to release in order to make a positive impact in the world?
In shadow, your ego can become conflicted or resistant, swinging between grandiosity and invisibility. You may reject conventional success, yet secretly crave recognition, especially if you feel unseen or financially insecure.
This can manifest as a superiority complex masked as spiritual detachment from money or, as martyrdom for an ideal. There’s a danger of your personality becoming brittle, defensive, or overly self-protective when worldly results don’t match your inner visions.
If you’re perfect, you know negative beliefs are a waste of time. Divinity doesn’t want you to be invisible, with inspiration you can achieve whatever level of recognition or financial comfort that would suit you best. Trust.
Maverick
Issue: Can you name three ways your life would change if you created secure, “bread and butter” income?
In shadow, your ego can become volatile and unpredictable, especially if you’re constantly chasing the next thrill without regard for consequences. Your personality can shift dramatically depending on the situation, making you seem inconsistent or erratic.
You might be prone to acting impulsively and seeking attention through extreme or attention-grabbing behaviour, which can undermine your self-image in the long run. Your ego may crave excitement and novelty to the point of alienating others who don’t share your high-risk lifestyle.
If you’re perfect, there’s no need to constantly fly by the seat of your pants and risk everything. Generating dependable income is possible without risking the farm. Don’t be afraid to ask Divinity to guide you towards predictable income streams – there will still be opportunities for excitement!
Celebrity
Issue: If impressing others was no longer important to you, name three financial decisions you would make?
In shadow your ego may become overly reliant on external validation. Your personality might become shaped by the need to be admired or adored, leading you to seek out praise at all costs. There can be a tendency to overcompensate for any feelings of insecurity or fear of being overlooked by exaggerating your achievements or appearance.
You may struggle with feeling that your worth is dependent on how others perceive you, leading to a fragile ego that fluctuates with your public image. This can result in a constant need for attention and validation, which can distort your true sense of self.
If you’re perfect, you don’t need to impress anyone. You can just rest in your perfection and be. Nothing else is required! Trust that Divinity will provide ample opportunities for you to express your flamboyance in ways that won’t break the bank or cause you to sell out.
Nurturer
Issue: What would your life be like in three years, five years, ten years, if the support you provide to others was not financial?
In shadow, you fuse ego and identity with being indispensable to others, leading to over-giving as a way to feel valuable. Your generosity may become a compulsive behaviour, feeding an unconscious need for approval.
Financially you might sacrifice your own stability to maintain the image of the “good” or “selfless” person. Without realizing it, you can equate depletion with virtue. Your personality can feel hollow or resentful beneath the surface when your giving goes unreciprocated.
If you’re perfect, there’s no need to be a financial crutch to others, you can easily empower loved ones to step out on their own. Work with Divinity to develop non-financial ways of being there for others in ways where everyone benefits – even you!
Romantic
Issue: What is the underlying source and emotional need triggering the statement of “I deserve it”?
In shadow, your ego can become overly dependent on external validation and the appearance of pleasure or abundance. You might over-identify with how you look, what you own, or how much fun others perceive you to be having – leaving you vulnerable to feelings of emptiness when those things are missing.
Your sense of self may feel fragile if you’re not actively indulging in experiences or purchases that reflect your ideal image. Financial recklessness may stem from an unconscious need to affirm your self-worth through spending. Underneath, there may be a quiet fear of being ordinary or emotionally deprived.
If you’re perfect, you already have everything you need. You don’t need to “deserve” it because you’re a child of the universe who is automatically entitled to every good thing. Ask Divinity to show you how appreciated, loved and valued you are and how to create financial security around that.
In the future, whenever a negative thought bubbles up to the surface, remember you are already perfect.
Divinity is with you – living within you – at all times. And there is nothing Divinity cannot do!
At the end of The Believer’s Prayer (aka the Our Father or Lord’s Prayer) as included in Paper 144 of The Urantia Book, the final line is not “deliver us from evil”, it is:
And increasingly make us perfect like yourself
I love that!
Keep that in mind when issues and worrying thoughts appear. Lean on Divinity. Ask for Divinity’s perfection.
And as the great sage who gave us the Our Father also said: love your enemies.
As soon as you recognise a less than helpful thought or pattern emerging, own it and love it. Love it by getting straight to the cleaning with the key words of Ho’oponopono so you can free the memories that created the thought or pattern and yourself:
I love you | I’m sorry | Please forgive me | Thank you
The memories replaying as negative thoughts and patterns are only there to give you one more chance to reach for perfection. And Divinity knows this is your natural state and will move heaven and earth to help you get there.
Just keep repeating the phrases moment to moment. To my knowledge, you can’t say them too many times!
You don’t have to struggle on alone. The creator of the universe will move into action as soon as you ask.
Play with that this week and let me know how you get on!
