Aloha, lovely entrepreneurs!
We’ve spent the last few weeks looking at the “Who” behind your money story. But today, we’re looking at the “What.” Specifically:
What are you telling yourself when no one else is listening?
In my world, these are dangerous mindsets. They are the sneaky, sophisticated lies that high-level entrepreneurs (yes, even those of us shopping at Waitrose and driving EVs) tell ourselves to stay small.
Assuming your primary Sacred Money Archetype is sitting right there in your First House – the seat of your identity – let’s see how these mindsets show up and then perform a quick money tweakment to clear them.
It’s time to smash the glass money ceiling!
Let’s look at four barriers that might be stopping you…
1. “I love what I do, but it’s not about the money!”
The Primary Targets: The Alchemist, The Nurturer and The Connector.
The Alchemist thinks that adding a price tag somehow “dilutes” the magic or the spiritual mission.
The Nurturer feels like a “betrayer” if they charge a premium for their care.
The Connector worries that money will “soil” the purity of the relationship.
Money tweakment: Realize that money is simply fuel for your magic. If the Alchemist is broke, the mission stops. If the Nurturer is exhausted, the care ends. If the Connector is flying solo, the growth grinds to a halt.
Flip the script: “Money is the energy that allows my mission to reach the people who need it most.”
2. “If I want to make more, I’ll have to work harder.”
The Primary Targets: The Accumulator and The Ruler.
The Accumulator is the queen of the “grind.” She believes security is earned through meticulous, constant effort and rigid adherence to systems.
The Ruler is a visionary but often falls into the trap of thinking she must be the one digging the ditches of her empire.
Money tweakment: This is about moving from labour to leverage. You are the CEO, not the serf.
Flip the script: “Wealth is a result of supportive strategy and systems, not my sweat. I choose to earn more by delegating and trusting the process.”
3. “I don’t think I can make more than I did when I had a job.”
The Primary Targets: The Maverick and The Romantic.
The Maverick rebels against the man, but might be carrying a hidden income ceiling inherited from the very structures they left behind.
The Romantic wants the lifestyle, but deep down, they still view a salary as the only real or safe money.
Money tweakment: Your past income was a cap; your current potential is a frontier. You didn’t leave the 9-to-5 to recreate its limitations.
Flip the script: “My earning potential is tied to my value and creativity, which have no ceiling, no limit. I am now open to receiving exponentially more than I ever thought possible.”
4. “I don’t think I can handle it if I get bigger.”
The Primary Targets: The Celebrity and The Saboteur.
The Celebrity loves the spotlight but fears the noise and the criticism that comes with a larger platform.
The Saboteur (who we all have!) sees big success as a threat to freedom: if I get bigger, will I be trapped?
Money tweakment: Success doesn’t equal a cage; it equals a bigger playground… and you get to design the boundaries of your “Big”!
Flip the script: “I am fully capable of managing my expansion. As my business grows, my freedom and support systems grow seamlessly with it.”
So, which of the “Dangerous Four” are whispering in your ear this week?
